Choral Education

As a chorus director, Mr. Cooper is competitive yet student-centered, taking great effort to highlight and build each student’s strengths, re-assessing as necessary. He ensures that his classrooms and choral programs are a safe space for students that allows creativity and a sense of belonging. Mr. Cooper has a strong passion for the arts and loves to spark the same interests in youth choirs.

Green Choir performed Pegasos by Eduardo Cota and We Sing, We Dance! by Ruth Elaine Schram for District XIII's LGPE. They received Superiors in Performance and Sight Reading.

Couch Middle School's Green Choir 2025-2026

The Couch Middle School Green Choir is an energetic choir composed of treble voices. This is a non-auditioned choir, featuring 7th and 8th Grade students. These ladies are incredibly excited about choral music and love to share their voices with their audiences. Many members from this ensemble have participated in District 13 Honor Chorus, All-State Chorus, and have performed at Gwinnett County’s Justice Center for one of their performance series. The choir uplifts each other through the obstacles of middle school. They love to be challenged with their music and are eager to showcase their hard work.

CMS' Green and Gold Choirs received Superiors in Performance. Sixth Grade Chorus received an Excellent in performance. All choirs at CMS received a Superior in Sight Reading.
